2018
Directed by Jack Salvadori
THE LIAR
1963. As the swinging cultural revolution is flourishing in London, a shadow of paranoia is casted on a tiny, English town. Roy, the village fool, is not only convinced that Adolf Hitler is still alive, but also that he is running the local bakery. How much should his obsessive suspicions be trusted, and what is he willing to do to prove his identity?
When I make short films, I always attempt to surprise the audience, providing unconventional works with the only outcome of entertaining the viewers. This time, my team and I are daring to go further, travelling back to the '60s, aiming to provide you with a surreal tale charged with humour and historical satire, which in a way will mirror today's not-too-absurd reality.
